Do not rent or buy from Mungo homes. I have rented from Mungo for over 3 years. I have been a good renter. I pay my rent which for a three bedroom house is $1466.00 per month, I take care of the house and do not cause trouble. I am a single mom with no support from my ex husband so money is tight. Two months ago my refrigerator broke. I called the after hours line because I just purchased $200.00 in groceries. No one ever called me back. I called and emailed the next day. It took them a week to repair the refrigerator. In addition, I was told they would come on a Thursday. When I... More...

Had a new home built by Mungo Homes on one of their lots. During the lot clearing process they left 3 trees. We have been in the home now for 3 months and all three trees left from the original lot clearing process are now dead from disruption of the root system. I contacted customer service to ask for "assistance" in taking down the dead trees. Mungo said that they are not their responsibility any longer and would not help. You would think that when you invest over $300,000 in a home, a builder would have understand why I'm upset about having to pay for removing... More...

I recently closed on a new home with Mungo Homes of NC. I originally had a closing date of January 16, 2012. I was asked if they (Mungo) committed to finishing my home by December 25, would I close early. I wanted to be moved in by Christmas and agreed to their terms. They started 3 weeks late on building and indicated this was because of material delays based on them changing vendors. I asked to start 3 weeks late and finish 4 weeks early what type of home would I get. They promised they would build a great home and not skimp on quality and was only doing this to help me close early. To make a long story short I closed on December 19 and have had nothing but problems with my home. Today is Feburary 26, 2012 and I am still waiting to have things done correctly as promised. For the upcoming year 2013 if they are rated America's Best Builder for number of closing, remember what happen to me. At whom expense are they closing at the end of the year push. Im paying the price.

thank you
