Do not rent or buy from Mungo homes
. I have rented from Mungo for over 3 years. I have been a good renter. I pay my rent which for a three bedroom house is $1466.00 per month, I take care of the house and do not cause trouble. I am a single mom with no support from my ex husband so money is tight. Two months ago my refrigerator broke. I called the after hours line because I just purchased $200.00 in groceries. No one ever called me back. I called and emailed the next day. It took them a week to repair the refrigerator. In addition, I was told they would come on a Thursday. When I got home from work the refrigerator was not repaired. No one had the courtesy to call me and tell they were not coming that day. I replaced my groceries and a few days later the refrigerator broke again. It again took them a week to come out and repair it. I had to buy groceries again! It broke again. It again took them days to come out to repair it. The service from Mungo was poor. During the process I had to initiate all contact. They did not follow up or keep me updated, I had to replace my groceries 3 times and I had to take time off work twice to meet the repairman. I did complain about the service and at that point the contact or their behalf improved. However, as a result of having to replace my groceries three times I had to pay my rent one day late. They had the nerve to send me a late fee invoice for $135.00. I was not going to pay it but decided to just pay it and be done with it. I guess I did not pay the late fee according to their time tables so they are now charging me another $135.00. I reached out to the Mungo team and asked them for assistance and due to the circumstances asked them to waive the late fee. They refused and instead of trying to help me the emails were very defensive and just wanted to defend themselves. There was no apology, compassion or accountability. The service was awful and I feel I have been mistreated. I do not recommend Mungo homes.
